Stabbing victim identified
MOHAVE VALLEY, Ariz. - Mohave County Sheriff's detectives have identified the victim of a homicide discovered Monday. She's Theresa Ann Davis, 45, of Mohave Valley. The body was discovered on the edge of Ft. Mohave Tribal land, near Indian Road. An autopsy determined she died of stab wounds. Detectives investigating the incident have traced Davis' movements to the Needles area through about 7 p.m. Sunday. Pyrotechnics blast off
LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. - One of the Tri-State area's most beloved events kicks off this weekend, the Western Pyrotechnics Association Winterblast convention. "The benefits to the residents is their annual public display this Saturday night, February 15, at 9 p.m. Fireworks will be shot off again from Spectator Point, so the best viewing is really kind of Rotary Park, London Bridge (Beach) Park and the (Bridgewater) Channel area," said Tourism Bureau president Bonnie Barsness. A 4th of July Fireworks exhibition typically costs about $20,000, while Saturday's display will cost in excess of $100,000, which the WPA provides at no cost to the community.
