VEHICLE ROLLOVER TODAY
File Mile Landing -
Around 9:00 a.m. this morning the fire department responded to a
call on a rollover on Route 1 just north of Five Mile Landing. Upon
arrival, they discovered the white truck was on it's side, but the
driver, a 27 year old male not from Golden Shores, was ok and did
not require medical services or transport. Debbie, of the fire
department, said the whole ordeal lasted about 10 minutes. The
vehicle did not appear damaged. The driver over-corrected on a
curve. They probably pushed the vehicle back on it's wheels and
drove away.

NUKE WASTE TO BE TRANSPORTED
ACROSS OUR HIGHWAYS Tri-State -
The federal Energy Department is looking at transporting nuclear
waste to Yucca Mountain via truck and not rail as originally
planned, which would mean the nuclear waste would be traveling
Tri-State area highways. The shift to over-the-road transportation
is a budgetary move, allowing the Energy Department to delay
development of a $1 billion rail spur. The first shipments to Yucca
Mountain are due in 2010.

nice job. The only problem seen so far is that the newsletter is
old. But keep up the good work!
