TERRORIST ALERT

ANOTHER FIRE ROARS
G.S.F.D. - Early Wednesday morning, around 1:00 a.m., the Golden Shores Fire Department received a call about a garage fire at Pecos & Sonoita. Their quick response and quick action enabled them to get fire out rather quickly, but the garage and it's contents are destroyed.
The investigation of this and some other recent fires in and around Golden Shores continues. This is another one that is being labelled a "suspicious fire" and has become a part of the overall investigation. Thats 3 fires on or near Sonoita Street. One person is in jail and other persons are being investigated. No other details are available at this time for obvious reasons. As always, if you observe any suspicious activities, report them to the fire department or the Sheriff's Office. If you see or know about any suspicious or illegal activity, you can contact the fire department at 768-4546 or the sheriff's office at 758-0700. If it is an Emergency, CALL 911.

RIVER CLAIMS 3 LIVES ON HOLIDAY WEEKEND
Colorado River - The holiday weekend death toll on the Colorado River is currently at three. Officials have identified a body found in the Bridgewater Channel Monday. The victim is Mark A. Tostado, 31, of Huntington Beach, Calif. Cause of death has not yet been determined, although there are no visible signs of trauma. An autopsy has been scheduled. At about 4:15 a.m. Monday, recreational divers found the body floating in about six feet of water just south of the London Bridge. Tostado was reported missing by friends about 12 hours after the body was recovered.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff's office is reporting a 33-year-old Manhattan Beach, Calif. man died in Copper Canyon Sunday. At about 5:50 p.m., the man, Seanne Charles McLay, allegedly tried to leap from "Jump-Off Rock" into the canyon's waters, but on the way down he apparently struck the face of the rock, hit the water and never surfaced. Divers from San Bernardino County and Mohave County Sheriff's Offices took to the water and the body was recovered less than an hour later. An autopsy is pending to determine cause of death and whether alcohol played a factor.
The third death occurred when Cory Denetris Lucien, 35, of Los Angeles crashed his personal watercraft into another vessel near Lake Havasu City's Site Six Saturday evening.

DYER GETS MORE DRUG CHARGES
Dolan Springs - A local man taken into custody earlier after he was found riding in a stolen vehicle, now faces additional drug charges. "As a result of Dyer's arrest earlier in the day, MAGNET officers obtained a search warrant for his residence. That search resulted in the finding of about 14 grams of marijuana, apparently packaged for sale," said Mohave County Sheriff's spokesman Jarrod Lyman. The suspect, James Wesley Dyer III, 46, was initially taken into custody when he was found to be in possession of marijuana and a stolen car. During the search of Dyer's residence, MAGNET officers also found a motorcycle reported stolen out of San Diego.

BUSTER GETS HARASSMENT REPORT
Kingman - At the request of lawyers representing Mohave County Supervisor Buster Johnson, R-Dist. 3, the county has released to the public all of the documents relating to allegations that Mr. Johnson sexually harassed two former female employees. The county originally denied Mr. Johnson access to the information, saying they were not public documents, but his attorneys threatened suit. TSN attempted to contact Mr. Johnson but he was unavailable for comment. However in a prepared statement, Mr. Johnson said he would be reviewing the documents and issue a press release in a few days. He also called the decision by the county manager to issue a press release announcing agreement to Mr. Johnson's request and make the records public, "bizarre at best."

HOLIDAY ARRESTS DOWN
Tri-State - Final law enforcement numbers from the holiday weekend are starting to come in, and while three deaths on the Colorado River have dominated the headlines, it appears that overall there was a slight reduction in lawlessness. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's office is reporting 51 arrests and four injuries - two of them major. Lake Havasu City Police made 225 arrests in the Bridgewater Channel, down 22 percent from last year, with more than half for underage consumption of alcohol. And Mohave County Sheriff's handled seven boat accidents, issued 75 safety violations and 13 for OUI. However all agencies reported that the number of designated boat operators were up once again this year.

    Weekly Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, I believe that You, Lord, change people and You change things. I pray for the people of Golden Shores, for each and every family member in their households. I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes that they are out of debt and all their needs are met. Continue to bless us that we may be a blessing to others. Keep us strong that we may help the weak. Keep us uplifted that we may have words of encouragement for others. I pray for those that are lost and can't find their way. I pray for those that are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who don't know You intimately. I pray for those that don't believe in You. This is my prayer.
We ask these things in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
