SR95 CURIOSITY SEEKERS

 G.S. - On Tuesday afternoon, there was a meeting held at the Civic Center by Arizona Department of Transportation regarding the Realignment Study of State Route 95. There were charts, maps, video, and plenty of people there from ADOT to answer questions. Then after people made the rounds, they were asked to complete a survey mostly about how they use highway 95. The plan is to connect SR95 from Interstate 40, Exit 9, to Bullhead City/Laughlin. The plan, according to ADOT, is to have the study done within 5 years and then begin construction in about another 5 years.

HOOCH'S RIVER GRILL OPENS

 G.S. - I walked in, stopped, thought I was in the wrong place, turned around and walked out, then went back in again. I was amazed at the difference! What use to be the Golden Shores Inn has been taken over and remodeled by Mike Thornten. Today, Friday, November 21st, is the first day of business for Hooch's River Grill. The place looks great! Jerry's Pizza will be closed. Not to worry, the Monday tacos will continue at the new place.

PROBLEMS GETTING THIS PUBLICATION
G.S. - A lot of people are being cut off from our mailing list because of the spam filters on the Frontier internet email service. EMERGENCY FIRE NUMBER
G.S. - The Golden Shores Fire Department wants everyone to know that the old local phone number for emergencies will be discontinued in November. The phone number for emergencies is 911. Please do not use the old 768 number after November 1st. The local phone number for business and personal calls is still the same 768-4546.

EDITOR NEEDED
The editor of this paper AND The Civic needs an assistant. I need someone that I can train to possibly take over in the event something happens to me. Besides, this little paper is growing very fast and there is going to be room for expansion soon. It would be part time work, but you must be quite computer literate. There is no pay from the Civic Association, so the hours and pay are low, but great potential. If interested, call me at 768-1400 or email ys@goldenshores.net.
