Thanks to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), communities across Arizona will have new financial resources to help combat substance abuse
The effects of substance abuse on our communities are very real. Since the beginning of my administration, my office has focused on bringing these numbers down.
Please don't hesitate to contact my office at (800) 253-0883 or visit my website at www.governor.state.az.us.

BHC FD STRETCHED THIN
Bullhead City -
While Bullhead City FD was responding to a motorcycle and truck accident Tuesday afternoon, another fire call elsewhere stretched resources thin. Stations further away from the area started to respond. An engine left the motorcycle crash and responded. Once on the scene smoke was seen coming from the house and the windows were hot indicating a dangerous back-draft condition. An elderly victim was found dead at the scene. The cause of the fire is believed to be smoldering tobacco. The victim reportedly had no working smoke detectors in the house, presumably contributing to the tragedy. The victim's name is being withheld pending notification of family.
